Adventurism 101: Just Do It

Do the wild jungles of the Amazon call your name? Does the idea of conquering mountains send your fluttering heart as high as its peaks? Do you find yourself watching shows like The Amazing Race and The Bachelor and thinking “I could totally do that better.” (What? You scorn The Bachelor? You try finding something where they take as many adventures as they do on that show. Betcha can’t.)

You might be an adventurer, my friend. Your inner-adventurer might just be waiting for you to set it free. And you know how you do that? You just do it.

Just do it.

Stop making excuses for why you can’t do something, or why you shouldn’t try that new activity you’ve been, stop telling yourself you won’t be good at it. Just give it a shot. What have you got to lose?

So many people let so many things stop them. And they’re the ones that will live a boring life. Just get out there and try that thing you’ve been wanting to do. It doesn’t have to be big to be an adventure for you. Here was the latest adventure Terry and I embarked on:

ImagePainting with Bob Ross! Did I do it perfectly? Nope. For one, my mountain is sitting in the clouds. But you know what? We had fun, and it was nice to try something new.

What about Terry’s painting you ask? Yeah, his is about 5000 times better. As always. :)

So get out there and give it a try, whatever it is that gets you excited. Stop letting stupid reasons stop you and just do it.
