“The gift of fantasy has meant more to me than my talent for absorbing positive knowledge.” – Albert Einstein
I love this quote. I love thinking of fantasy as a gift. It reminds me of that scene at the end of Finding Neverland. Do you remember it? When Sylvia is sick and they bring her downstairs to watch the play? And she walks out into neverland? I swear I cry every single time. It just gets me in that special spot, you know? As if you really could just turn the corner and walk into the land of your own creation, your own imagi-Nation. I have a gift of seeing the world as I want to see it. I walk through worlds of adventures and heroes and villains. My life is a quest for good and a battle against evil.
It reminds me of another quote, this one by Dr. Seuss:
“Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living, it’s a way of looking at life through the wrong end of the telescope. Which is what I do, and that enables you to laugh at life’s realities.”
